    Note

Giorgio Olivieri was born in Verona in 1937 and began his exhibition activity in 1960. He is one of the most significant exponents of Analytical Painting. Through his works he carries out a linguistic analysis of painting, its structural coordinates, its signs, its materials (colour, brushes, canvas, support, light). His is a self-reflexive art focused on its own grammatical and syntactical structures. The extensive catalogue, edited by Giorgio Cortenova, with essays by Claudio Cerritelli, Roberto Lambarelli and Claudio Spadoni, presents around eighty works of painting and sculpture by the artist and unfolds along a chronological path that extends from the early seventies to the present day.
