Humanitas is a monthly cultural magazine that began to be published in Brescia in 1946, published by Morcellana and which gives answers inspired by the Gospel but immersed in the concrete reality of the history and culture of the moment.
The magazine, initially directed by G. Bevilacqua, MF Sciacca, M. Bendiscioli and M. Marcazzan, passed in 1960, with the new series, to S. Minelli and the two editorial series correspond to two different phases experienced by some sectors of the world Catholic.
In the first period the magazine was structured into various specialist sections coordinated by one of the directors: ''Religion'' edited by Bevilacqua, ''philosophy and science'' by Sciacca, ''History, politics, economics'' by Bendiscioli, '' 'Literary and artistic criticism'' by Marcazzan.
The magazine, which intends to collect all those writings valuable for artistic value or for historical and scientific rigor which are inspired by a strong sense of spirituality, intends to return to the tradition of the union between Church and culture as stated in the ''Presentation'' which appears in the n .1 of January 1946
